Smith girls

Mommy and Camille

As we were getting ready to take pictures Camille was running away down the hall to do something while shouting out, "Don't take my picture without me!"

Mommy and Lily

It's been a rough week around here with ear infections and stomach viruses. I also got braces on my teeth on Monday and scheduled a surgery date for April. These are some last photos we took before I got the braces on.

"Camping"

Matt recently bought a new tent big enough for the whole family plus friends. Matt set it up in the backyard, and they slept out in the yard one night. Camille thought it was great! They were hardly roughing it. Matt had a queen size air mattress, and Camille had a twin size, with sheets and blankets. They had a fan run by extension cord from the house and Matt had his laptop with wireless internet for when Camille went to sleep. It was in the 80s when they went to bed, but was comfortable with the fan going. The weather cooled off later. Matt said he'd call me on his cell phone if they need something. Lily and I slept inside the house. Matt said Camille decided to sleep in his bed because she was "cold" and she kicked him all night long. She woke up at the first flicker of dawn and declared it "light out" thus time to wake up. Camille can't wait to go camping again!

Go Bears!

Camille looked so cute in her Baylor cheerleader outfit that Nana bought her when we were visiting Waco recently. Camille got to show it off at school when they had a day to "wear your college spirit wear." There were a whole bunch of little cheerleaders in her class (all from different universities). Would you believe this outfit is an 18-month size?? Lily is wearing a Baylor t-shirt in the background, but I didn't get a good picture of her.

All smiles!

I have trouble with this blog program erasing pictures when I try to delete text, so please excuse the disorganization.

Here's Camille popping up out of our tent box. Right after the pictures clicked, she fell over backwards.

Lily had a ball playing with the toilet paper package the other day.

Lily really wanted to go outside with Camille to play in the pool.

One evening I came back in the kitchen to find Kady the cat in Lily's highchair inspecting the leftovers. She is not sleeping in the picture, just blinking from the flash. Kady thought she was undercover in the low light there.

Ah, the English language

It's hard to find the time to add entries to the blog with my 20 pound mini-me (Lily) attached to my hip during most of our waking hours together. I have pictures but will add them later.

I love this funny story on Camille. Yesterday Matt was at work late and I was putting the girls to bed. Camille throws tantrums right around bed time, and yesterday was no exception. She was mad at me for something and crying "I want Daddy" over and over. When Matt got home I told him about her naughty behavior and that she was calling for him to rescue her. When he went upstairs to say good night to Camille he asked her if she'd been good for Mommy. Camille just shrugged. She told him, "I was calling for you." Matt said, "I heard." Camille's eyes got big and she said, "You could hear me all the way from here!!"

Casa del R

We went to the Colvin family reunion this weekend. They affectionately called it Casa del R at the Reitmeier home because everyone used to stay at Casa del Mar in Galveston every summer for a reunion. This year we all had fun in the pool instead of at the beach.

Lily played with Uncle Gary for a long time on the beach towel looking at various things from nature. He conducted a test and found that Lily consistently chooses the hand which contains more food. Greedy, I guess:)

In the last picture you can see Camille pouting on the bench when she was in timeout. She was really forcing herself to pout and it was very funny at the time. She can be really stubborn sometimes. She chose to pout in timeout rather than come apologize.

The weekend was a great success.

Chippy's birthday party

Camille's friend Chippy from school had a birthday party at Chuck-E-Cheese. Camille sat next to the birthday boy and even helped him blow out his candles. It's a good thing he was oblivious to her help.

Joey's birthday

We went to Carthage 2 weeks ago for cousin Joey's birthday. Katelynn and Camille had fun playing ballerina dress-up and taking turns picking the worms out of the dirt and throwing the fish back when they went fishing.

random pictures

Lily likes to stand at the dishwasher. She also likes to admire herself in the mirror in out bedroom.

Aunt Kristine gave Camille some rollerskates for an early birthday present. Camille enjoyed rolling around the carpet
on them.

Boating fun in Arkansas

Lily was pretty calm in the water. You can see how much more wild is once Camille got in the water.

More Arkansas pictures

Camille spent a lot of time coloring on the porch at the cabin.

Camille loved fishing! She picked her own worms out of the container and touched all the fish that she caught.

Pictures of Lake Ouchita

These are some photos Matt took on our get-away hike while we were on vacation.

This is the cabin we stayed in. It was great, with a big, scenic deck across the back.

Camille rides a horse

Camille rode a horse for the first time while we were in Arkansas. His name is Droopy. Camille was very stiff and still but looked to be having a great time during her 15 minute ride around the ring. At the end of the ride she bragged that she didn't fall off the horse.

Here you can see her hair tickling her face, but she wouldn't move a hand until we told her it was okay.
Lily rode Mommy in the backpack.
