Zoo

After the storms let up on Friday we headed over to the zoo. Camille had a day off school and Matt was off work. Matt will be starting his new job at the FDIC on the 12th and is enjoying a little time off between jobs. It was perfect because there were very few people there. Camille especially enjoyed getting to hold a bird on her shoulder and on her finger. Lily didn't want to hold the bird, but she loved feeding a bird a little treat. The carosel was the height of anticipation to finish off the end of our zoo trip. I don't know if it lived up to expectation or not. They both looked like they were having a good time, though.

They had lots of fun climbing through a tunnel and popping up into observation domes to see the little animals (I can't remember what they're called).

In this last picture Lily is sitting next to a tiny bronze mouse that she likes on the rock.

YMCA Father-Daughter dance

Camille and Matt looked so cute going to the father-daughter dance at the YMCA. Camille danced her little heart out. Matt said she wore him out by swinging on him. Her friend Madison went with her dad as well. They had a blast! Camille started off in her fancy shoes and tights. I sent flip flops with her just incase her feet started hurting. Matt said she ended up spending most of the night in bare feet.

On the hunt for Easter eggs!

Here are pictures from the egg hunt with Lily's class at Primrose.

I went to hide eggs for both Camille and Lily's classes at school, but I forgot my camera for Camille's egg hunt. Camille's hunt was especially cool because all three kindergarten classes were combined for the hunt. Each egg was labeled with one of 6 simple shapes. Each child's basket was labeled with one shape and the child was only allowed to pick up eggs with his/her matching shape. This made the egg hunt more challenging and last longer for kids this old. The field was really pretty with 750 colored eggs scattered around. I hope I can get a photo from another parent.

I must not have had the camera setting correct during the egg hunt at the park with our Sunday School friends because it's really washed out. The kids had fun despite the windy, cold day.
