Christmas pictures

Camille loves her nightgown that matches her baby doll's pajamas. Today when we got home from school Camille immediately announced that she was very hot and needed to change into her nightgown because it has short sleeves!

Lily was unsure about opening gifts at first because she didn't like the sound of the wrapping paper, but she eased into the fun.

Santa's coming!

Camille was excited to leave cookies out for Santa on Christmas eve. On Christmas morning she came into our room early. When we finally got up, we told her to wait until Matt got the camera to go into the living room. I thought she was with Matt and he thought she was with me. I saw the lights flip on down the hall and she announced that Santa had eaten the cookies and left a lot of crumbs! Camille was very excited about her presents. Lily wasn't feeling well, but she had good moments and made the best of it.

Hmm, who likes Santa better?

Santa came to Camille and Lily's school for a photo op. while we were at work. No standing in line at the mall for us! Unfortunately for me, Camille announced to Santa that she wants a "Dora Talking House." I say "unfortunately" because Santa has already finished Christmas shopping and the requested item is not a small present. I've been warning her that Santa takes requests but doesn't promise those things, and he did tell her "it's up to my elves." I went so far today as to tell her that he will probably give her something different that's really fun. She seems to be relaxed about the idea. Lily just wants to make sure that this scary bearded man doesn't come to her house!

Camille's school program

Camille was really excited for her holiday program on the "big stage" at an elementary school. Camille was quite the actress, singing loudly and leading the other children in excitement. She was so cute with all of her friends, but they all bounced around so much that it was hard to capture on film.

Frog chair

Here's Camille's hair curly when we took out the corn-row braids that Camille's teacher put in. Camille's teacher often braids her hair during recess. I guess Camille love the attention, and she always thinks it makes her look beautiful.
Lily and Camille are sharing a frog bean-bag chair passed on to us from a friend of Grandma's. Both love the fuzzy frog. Lily is really goofy with the chair, often nuzzing down face first.

I was trying to organize outgrown clothes in Camille's dresser, and I turned around to find Lily sitting in the middle of this mess of books that she had torn off the shelves.

CPA swearing in ceremony

Camille and Lily stayed with Grandma and Grandpa while Matt and I went to Austin for Matt's CPA swearing in ceremony and a get-away night.

More birthday pictures

Lily was grumpy by the time she opened presents. The only present she was truly interested in at the time was a cute little musical card from GiGi and Boppy. Lily danced and played it over and over.

Lily's 1st birthday--Nov 7th

Lily was tired but enjoyed her first birthday party.

Lindsey's birthday

Here are Camille and Lily both "helping" Lindsey open her birthday presents.

Baylor Homecoming

Better late than never...Camille and Lily had fun at the Baylor homecoming parade and football game, even if we did lose that one too. Camille had fun yelling sic-em-bears and cheering whenever the crowd got loud (which happened more often out of Baylor fan's frustration or the other team's fans cheering). The highlight of football for Camille is getting a box of popcorn, and anything else she can convince Nana to buy her. This game Camille got pom-poms and was waiving them around. Lily even had to get her own because she was "slobbering" on Camille's pom-pom.

Halloween

This year for Halloween Lily was Blue the puppy from Blues Clues and Camille was Belle from Beauty and the Beast. I didn't notice Camille's costume malfunction until after I took the pictures. Blues ears were cute but flopped around a lot, and I love the little tail. The weather was perfect for trick-or-treating. I took the girls up to the party at church, and Camille had a blast. Camille got a balloon Hummingbird, which she insists is a butterfly. It was fun; we were all ready for bed by the end of the night.
We went trick-or-treating at only one house, Grandma and Grandpa's. We went inside and then the girls took a bath! Camille may think that's what always happens when you trick-or-treat!
While I was getting Lily out of the car, Camille was anxiously waiting at the end of the walkway to my parents house. She started yelling at the other trick-or-treaters "That's my Grandma and Grandpa's house!"

There's a ladybug crawling in here!

The kids dressed up for their costume party at school last Friday. The kids paraded around outside, so I made sure to dress them warmly. Camille donned the clown costume yet another year since it's nice and warm. Lily is a moving target for photos this year, and Camille is too goofy to try to pose for the photos.

Pumpkin patch

These are pictures from when we went to the local pumpkin patch 2 weeks ago. I'm just finally posting them. Camille had a blast playing hide-and-seek with Mommy in the maze. Perhaps Camille's favorite thing to do was to balance while walking along hay bales set in rows.

Lily was not happy about sitting with the pumpkins, having her feet in the grass, or touching the hay. As long as we held her, she was fine. The photo of Lily sitting with the pumpkin is right before she started crying about her feet touching the grass. Lily has shoes, but she can take them off faster than I can put them on.

It was a beautiful day, and Camille looked forward to it all week.

Lily's walking!

Lily is walking some now. She loves to carry things with her when she walks. Here she was walking around with a clean sock in her mouth (I was folding laundry). Lily is also wearing shoes now when I take her to school, but I don't know how long she leaves them on because they're always in her bag when I pick her up in the evening.

These shoes were Camille's 3rd pair! (because Camille was just a smaller baby).

Camille and Lily really are becoming friends!

I bought Camille her first nightgown, and she absolutely loves it! Her cousin Katelynn has one and Camille's thrilled to be like her. The sleeves are too long, and I'm meaning to sew them up when I get time. Camille's frustrated with me for the delay and announced that Nana would probably have to do it.
Lily is eating more table food these days. Nana's chili mac recipe always makes a fun mess.

Lily is very much into touch sensation. She loves to crawl under these deep shelves in the living room to snuggle with some large stuffed animals.
