Last week we awoke to excitement because someone broke into Matt's car overnight. The car was in our driveway off the alley because our new fan was spread out in the garage overnight awaiting the installation of our new patio cover. I heard the car alarm going off but I assumed it was our neighbors again. Ultimately, the alarm must have been what scared them off when they reached through and unlocked the door. A neighbor a few doors down had her stereo stollen. The person was apparently cut significantly because of lots of blood in the car. I went to pick up the car this afternoon, and they hadn't gotten the blood out completely. Hopefully tomorrow since we're now dealing with my car's airconditioner that's gone out for the 3rd time in 6 weeks. I'm telling you, it's hot in Dallas this week!
The police suspect that this was the work of kids on summer break. Lily and Camille have spent time trying to put into words their questions and what might have happened. They're not scared, just curious.
